Why Tungsten?
When it comes to buying a ring for whatever occasion then it is important that you get both the design of the ring correct as well as the material which it will be made from. Essentially its appeal lies in the fact that it is a very strong material. Tungsten can be around 10 times stronger than gold and only diamond is really ahead of it when it comes to toughness and durability; this is undoubtedly a good quality given the fact that tungsten is now being used more and more for wedding rings and durability and toughness is something that is especially important here. The second massive advantage that this has is that it is cosmetically strong as well. If you are buying a ring as a gift then you do not want it to start to fade or lose its gleam and shine after a while or, worse still, for it to develop any scratches or significant cosmetic damage.
Well, by using tungsten as the material then this is unlikely to happen as it almost works in the same way as stainless steel and is incredibly difficult to damage either at a structural level or an aesthetic one. Indeed, on inspection it is very obvious why so many people are now deciding to use tungsten as the basis for their jewellery. Not only do you get an affordable material that is both strong in the sense that it will be long lasting and keep its appearance over an extended period of time but it also looks great when worn as well.
